Acknowledgements and Disclaimers


I agree that I am aware of and strictly adhere to the guidelines set out below when using any or all of the facilities at CHILL.

YOU AGREE TO SHOWER BOTH BEFORE AND AFTER USE OF THE SAUNA, HOT-TUB and ICE BATHS


SAUNA

  • Any jewellery should be removed before entering the sauna to prevent burning
  • Any glasses or contact lenses should be removed to avoid damage and to prevent the contact lenses from drying out
  • All personals using the sauna do so at their own risk.  If you have any reservations regarding sauna use, it is essential that you consult your GP
  • You must not use the sauna if you:-
  • suffer from high or low blood pressure or any heart or circulatory disorder or suffer from epilepsy or diabetes
  • are pregnant, or
  • are prone to dizziness or fainting
  • Sauna etiquette must be adhered to at all times.  This includes:-
  • washing feet in the foot bath provided before entering the sauna
  • sitting on a towel at all times
  • staying in the sauna for no longer than 20 minutes at a time – we recommend 5-15 minute sessions
  • gently pouring water onto the sauna stove, drizzle, do NOT dump water
  • only pouring the provided ‘sauna water’ on hot rocks and nothing else
  • Alcohol and nudity are not permitted in the sauna
  • Chill proprietors reserve the right to refuse admission to intoxicated persons

 

HOT TUB

  • The use of drugs, alcohol and some medications before or during use of the hot tub may lead to unconsciousness with the possibility of drowning, and can greatly increase the risk of fatal hyperthermia
  • Glass items are not permitted in the hot tub
  • If you have a history of heart disease, low or high blood pressure, circulatory system problems or diabetes please do not use the hot tub without prior consultation with a doctor
  • Please do not use the hot tub if you have an infections disease or have any open sores and/or wounds because of the possibility of spreading infection
  • No one should use the hot tub if pregnant or potentially pregnant without prior consultation with a doctor
  • Prolonged immersion in the hot tub may be hazardous to health
  • No electrical appliances – i.e. mobile phones are permitted within 5 feet of the hot tub
  • You acknowledge that risks and injury may be caused or increased by your own acts, omission, negligence or failure to follow any guidelines provided to you and Chill proprietors will not be liable in such circumstances.
  • You also accept and acknowledge that you will be held responsible and incur charges for any damage to the hot tub which occur during your use.
Chill proprietors accept no responsibility for any direct or indirect loss, damage or injury suffered or incurred by any person using the hot tub other than in relation to death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
 
 

CHILL ICE BATHS

  • The ice bath is intended for cold water immersion therapy and post-workout recovery. However, the use of the ice bath involves certain inherent risks. It is crucial to understand that engaging in any form of cold-water immersion therapy has potential health risks, including but not limited to, hypothermia, shock, or injury.
  • Before using the ice bath, it is highly recommended that you consult with a qualified healthcare professional, especially if you have any pre-existing medical conditions, such as cardiovascular problems, respiratory issues, or any other health concerns. A healthcare professional can provide guidance on whether cold water immersion therapy is suitable for you and can advise on the appropriate duration and temperature settings.
  • Use caution when entering and exiting the ice bath to prevent slips, falls, or other accidents. Always have a spotter or assistance available during the immersion process.
  • The user accepts full responsibility for their use of the ice bath. Chill proprietors shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, or consequences resulting from the use or misuse of the ice bath.
  • It is the user’s responsibility to use the ice bath in a safe and responsible manner.
  • By using the ice bath, you agree to release the company, its employees, and representatives from any liability arising from the use of the ice bath.
